Aloo mutter is a Punjabi dish which is made from potatoes and peas in a spiced creamy tomato based sauce.
300g of diced potato
50g of petit pois
½ teaspoon nigella seed, mustard seed, cumin seed, turmeric
Chilli and salt to taste
1 heap tsp tomato puree
1 tablespoon oil
100ml of water
Chopped coriander to garnish
Fry whole spices gently and add potatoes with the water
Add the other spices and bring to the boil
When the potatoes are nearly cooked add the peas and salt
Ensure that only loose fluid is reduced.
Garnish with coriander
