A staple for all indian meals.


1 large onion (pureed)
Heaped teaspoon of ginger & garlic paste
Half teaspoon of cumin, garam masala, turmeric and paprika
Chilli & Salt to taste
225g of diced paneer
3 heaped tablespoons of tinned tomato
1 heaped teaspoon of dried methi (fenugreek leaf)
Chopped coriander to garnish


Add oil to a pan
Add the dry spices, increase temp of oil to ensure the spices begin to fry without burning
Add ginger and garlic paste
Within 30s add the tomato and stir
Cook gently for 5 min, Add the onion
Continue for another 5-10 min adding water if necessary
Then add paneer
Continue for further 15min until paneer is cooked
Add seasoning to taste
Add methi (fenugreek leaf)
Garnish with coriander
